LESSON 5: Classroom grouping models

SUMMARY
This lesson explains how students can be organized in class. There are multiple grouping models such as the graduated model or the multi- level system, and in this class we have lernt all of them and their individual features.
BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING
Before studying this lesson I believed that the graduated model and the heterogenous grups were the only criteria for grouping students. However, I know all the systems and models of grouping students.
After I've studied this lesson I know that there are different types of students grouping, two perspectives (vertical and horizontal), and the diferences between them. In addition, I've lernt that there is a multi- level system where students can share the same space doing curricular contents of different levels.

One of the most difficult things about this lesson is to know if working on groups gives any kind of bennefits to the students or not. According to Gil Flores, who affirmes the adequacy of discussions developed in the groups in the obtaining of data on the perceptions, opinions, behaviour or feelings of the students in relation to a certain topic or reality under study, I think that working in group gives more benefits that working alone.
I truly wan to know more about the cooperative work and the resaults of studies that show it's benefits and consequences.
VIDEO
This video shows the difference between coperative and collaborative work. I've choosen it because I think that we must know the difference ammong this types of work
