SUMMARY

In this Lesson we have learnt about the diferent positions and governing bodies of the school and their functions. I truly believe that this is very important and necessary to be a professional  because, as a teacher, you should know how schools are structured and the different parts of it.

BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING

Before studying this lesson knew who were some positions such as the director, the head of studies and the secretary and I knew somthing about governing bodies, like school council and the teacher board. But as soon as we started to read the theory I realized that I knew nothing about their functions and responsabilities.

Nevertheless, now that I have studied this lesson for the exam, I know that the director not only represents the school and directs all the activities in it, but also approves the Annual General Programme. Besides, I have also learnt that the head of studies is the one who makes the academic timetables and organise the school events.

The most difficult for me to learn were the school council's functions

In my case, I think I need to learn more about the form teacher's functions and the teaching team because as I want to be a form teacher I shoul know perfectly my responsabilities and dutties.

Hecenforth, I can talk about the structure of schools and discuss about which functions should develope each governing position and which should not.
