PRACTICE 10

BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE
Before doing this practice I knew something about assessment thanks to lesson 10, but with this practice we have studied the topic more deeply.
Now that I have done this activity I consider that I nkow so much more about the different types of assessment and about it's parts, for example.
- The initial assessment that is used at the beginning of the educational process.
- The continuous assessment which is carried out while the educational process has already begun to see if it is developing according to the defined plan that we had made beforehand.
- The final assessment takes places at the end of the educational process and it is used to see how the process has ended.
The most difficul for me was to choose the methodology we were going to focus. It is not a big deal, but for me, I think that when we think about school assessments we only think about exams or final projects and we forguet about cheking if they have really learnt something. That's why I agree with the next sentence:
"Summative assessments, or high stakes tests and projects, are what the eagle eye of our profession is fixated on right now, so teachers often find themselves in the tough position of racing, racing, racing through curriculum."(R. Alber)
