PRACTICE 7

BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before this practice I knew about diversity and its evolution thanks to lesson 7. But after doing this practice I know much more information about how diversity was threated through the years by the educational laws and the current laws among the globe that talk abouth the diversity and students with disabilities. It was difficult to find and evaluate some of the new policies. According to Cortés (2010) they dinamize the pedagogical renovation of the school and of the teachers and improve the student's performance due to his high motivation. As we've studied , integration has many benefits for the class, the teacher and the students with disabilities. That's why I want to investigate about all the benefits and consequences of integration . VIDEO This video shows who is in charge of learners with Special Educational Needs and/ or Disabilities (SEND) inside the school, and it's functions. BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFEREN...

PRACTICE 6

BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before this practice I knew a little bit about leadership because I studied it in  lesson 6, but I didn't knew  a single thing about the implement of leadership in schools. Now that I've done this practice I know much more about the different perspectives of leadership, among other things. The most difficult aspect for me was to know what kind of leadership we should use in each particular case, because, according to A.Harris (2014), all schools are not the same, so in order to implant the distributed leadership we can´t draw up just one model since we have to take into account the differences between the schools.  BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES Harris, A (2014). LESSON 7

Imagen
SUMMARY This lesson explains how the term diversity has changed through the years and how the different laws among the spanish history have treated the students with disabilities. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before studying this lesson I knew nothing about how diversity has been reflected in the educational laws or how the current law treats  students that have any type of disability. Now that i've studied about it I know that d iversity  is a principle that should govern every facet of basic and compulsory education. The aim is to provide an education appropriate to the needs of the student. Also, I've lernt that diversity is an inherent condition of the human being because we all are diferent. For me it wasn't easy to imagine having the best ressaults and being completely satisfied with your job when you have students with special needs in your class. But ,accord...

LESSON 6: Leadership, Management and Innovation of Organisations

Imagen
SUMMARY This Lesson has shown us the different relationships that happen inside of the school and the types of cultures within the school environments. Also, we have lernt about the multiple definitions of leadership and management depending on the context. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before studying I didn't know much about leadership or management, by the way, I just knew the leadership's definition used in echonomics. After studying this lesson I've lernt so much important aspects of the school management as the different types of cultures: Individualistic: Based on individual interests. Teachers focus on the classroom. Fragmented culture : Behaviours are based in group dynamics Institutionalised culture: A school's actions are based on decisions made by the management team. Collaborative culture: It is based on the organisation's collective learning with the objective...

LESSON 5: Classroom grouping models

Imagen
SUMMARY This lesson explains how students can be organized in class. There are multiple grouping models such as the graduated model or the multi- level system, and in this class we have lernt all of them and their individual features. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before studying this lesson I believed that the graduated model and the heterogenous grups were the only criteria for grouping students. However, I know all the systems and models of grouping students. After I've studied this lesson I know that there are different types of students grouping, two perspectives (vertical and horizontal), and the diferences between them. In addition, I've lernt that there is a multi- level system where students can share the same space doing  curricular contents of different levels. One of the most difficult things about this lesson is to know if working on groups gi...

PRACTICE 4

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 4, a few things about how the timetable is made but while I was doing this activity I discovered many things I know nothing about. On one side after doing this practice I know how many hours a week has each subject and the different criteria to draw a timetable depending on the objectives of the centre and the community where the centre is located. Also,    I 've lernt how difficult is to make a timetable where everything fits in because of the amoung of factors that we have to consider, such as the centre's objectives or the fatigue index. We should know which subjects cause more fatigue and the time of the day when the students are in a position to concentrate in subjects.(Sharma,2015) VIDEO This video shows how you can organize your own timetable for organi...

PRACTICE 3

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 3, a few things about the Annual General Programme and about the Educational Project, but now that I've done this practice I believe that I know much more about this two documents and their parts. After doing this activities I've lernt so much about the structure of the Annual General Programme and the Educational Project, but also, about how to analyze this type of documents. The most difficult part of this practice was to find a school's Educational Project. That shouldn't happen because unlike the Annual General Programme, LOMCE says that the Educational Project must be published so that not only the parents can see it but everyone who wants it can access to that information. I think I should learn more about the doccuments that are not included in this documents and about the struct...

PRACTICE 2

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 2, the diferent governing bodies and governing positions, but I didn't know much about the specific regulations of the school council and the teachers board. Once I did the practice I realized that the head of studies takes almost all the decisions alone, like choosing the head of studies, and I think that he or she must choose the best option of some questions with the approval of the teaching board. The hardest thing for me was to decide wich governing body should perform some functions of  the school. The director has too many responsabilities and I think that some of them can be shared with the teacher board. So , according to Gago Rodríguez(2006), the teacher board is aware of the reality and knows that the direction must be a shared responsability that can't be assumed by only one per...

PRACTICE 1

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 1, the main objectives of LOMCE and LOE, but I didn't know much about the specific regulations of each law. Once I did the practice I realized that each law has advantages and disadvantages and is clearly influenced by the historical events. I also realized that many things should be changed in the next educational law, such as the moment when students must decide if they want to study sciences or humanities. The hardest thing for me was to find information about the disadvantages of the LOMCE., but once I found them I realized that the law is more interested in creating future workers than in developing students' habilities. In addition, nowadays they just want to prepare the students to pass an exam and then forget everything about what they learned...
