PRACTICE 10

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE  Before doing this practice I knew something about assessment thanks to lesson 10, but with this practice we have studied the topic more deeply. Now that I have done this activity I consider that I nkow so much more about the different types of assessment and about it's parts, for example. The initial assessment that is used at the beginning of the educational process. The continuous assessment which is carried out while the educational process has already begun to see if it is developing according to the defined plan that we had made beforehand. The final assessment takes places at the end of the educational process and it is used to see how the process has ended. The most difficul for me was to choose the methodology we were going to focus. It is not a big deal, but for me, I think that when we think about school...

PRACTICE 9

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew something about the association of mothers and fathers thanks to lesson 9, where we learned about the participation in the school. However, In this practice we have studyied deeply what is the AMPA, it's functions, regulations, advantages, disadvantages... After doing this activity I know that AMPA also forms part of the teacher board and I realized how many responsabilities they have, such as organizing all the school's events and school trips for students and making desicions with the director. The hardest thing for me to learn was the fact that we all know what the AMPA ia but half of the parents don't really know about the ampa's decisions or thoughts, so, now that I've done this practice I think that the representators of the AMPA should mantain a closest relationship with the rest of the parents to try to make them feel par...

SUMMARY In  Lesson 10 we have studied the assesment, what it is, the diferent types of assesment and the regulations about it , among other things. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before this lesson, I knew nothing about assessment at schools, but now I've lernt  so many things such as the definitions of assesment  LOGSE 1990 Assessment is understood as a continuous and formative process that addresses quantitative and qualitative aspects, as one of the principles of educational activity, and as a factor of quality LOE (2006), LOMCE (2013). Assessment is a fundamental element for improving education and enhancing the transparency of the education system The most difficult part of this lesson for me was to understand the students assessment because when I was at school I didn't realized about the methods that my teachers used to evaluate our progress and until nkow I didn't nkow how important is this to improve as a teacher. Also, according to Burke ...

Salesianas is a catholic school where we can found children from 3 years to 18 years old. This chool has three buildings where are the classes, music rooms and the laboratory, a theater and a sports hall. They have multiple projects as an english project and a science club. The most interesting project is the Technological project, which is closely related with the cooperative learning and learning based in the experiences. The objectives they want to achieve with  this "tablets project" are:  helping the students to generate their own knoledge and make them develope all de habilities related with the multiple intelligences. The students that have taken part of this project are the students from fifth grade onwards. They have studyied the whole academic year with the tablets instead of paper books. They use Digital books, they are a tool that allows you to integrate t...

LESSON 9

Imagen
SUMMARY In this lesson we have lernt about the participation in schools. What the legislation say about it, the different ways of promoting the participation and the different organisations that form part of it. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING  Before studying this lesson I only knew that AMPA was one of the most important governing bodies that were related with the participation of the centre. Now that I've lernt more about the topic I know that there are some measures to foster the participation of the educational community, such as: Planning and promoting the assumption of specific responsibilities by all members of the educational community by   Identifying areas of participation of parents in the life of the centre.  Encouraging school boards to be organitsations with real participation like e nsuring that prior information reaches all sectors just in time to be studied ...

PRACTICE 8

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 8, a few things about the community building plan , but I knew nothing about the elements of the plan or which are it's regulations.  Once I did the practice I learned that  the Organic Law 2/2006, modified by the Organic Law 8/2013 recognized the members of the management team and the teachers as a public authority in the procedures to adopt corrective measures (art. 124.3), and orders that the educational administrations facilitate that the centres, within the framework of its autonomy, can elaborate their own rules of organisation and functioning. The most difficul to me was to truly understand what was the essence of the community building plan , why had to be made and what could it change in the students lives. According to the dr R. Rodríguez, one of the points of the community...

LESSON 8

Imagen
SUMMARY In this lesson we have lernt about the students and teacher's rights, about the disrupting behaviours and the disciplinary educational measures that must be applied considering the magnitude of the offence. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING  Before I've studied this lesson I didn't knew all the measures that the school should apply after a student breaks the school's code of conduct. I only knew about the measure where the student is expelled from the centre for a week. Now I know so much about  the disciplinary measures that are applied at school and the students' and teachers' rights. Student's rights and dutties Comprehensive training. •Objective assessment. •Respect for one's own convictions. •Freedom of association and assembly Studying and attending class. Respecting others. Respecting the code o...

LESSON 4: Management of space, time and material resources

Imagen
SUMMARY In this Lesson, as you can see in the tittle, we have lernt about the school's space and time management and the material resources. This includes the timetable, how should the space be at schools and how resources can be divided. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before this Lesson I knew about some types of timetable such as block timetable and Mosaic timetable and their characteristics, even if I did not knew their names in english, because I studied at school with there types of timetables. However, I did not know much about the space's characteristics or criteria. After studying, I think that I know much more about the timetable and it's criteria. To do a timetable is much more complicated than we all think, because we need to evaluate the biological, pedagogical and socio-cultural criteria, among other factors. On the one hand, the Biological criteria says that days that are not at the beginning or end of the week are usually better fo...

PRACTICE 5

Imagen
BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRACTICE Before doing this practice I knew, thanks to lesson 5, a few things about the cooperative work and some of it's advantages, but I only knew it's disadvantages by my own experience in highschool. Thanks to this practice we have lernt how to organize and divide the subjects content to make a cooperative project with the students. Now I feel that I know so much more about how to do a cooperative project and about it's disadvantages. For me, the hardest part of the practice is to find the perfect way to organize the classes. We struggled a lot but we finally decided that we were going to explain before the topic and then , before the exam, the group does it's exhibition.  As for what I would like to learn more about, I would love to know how to fight againsts the waste of time of the students when they do this type of work, and when some of...

LESSON 2: Organisational structure of primary schools

Imagen
SUMMARY In this Lesson we have learnt about the diferent positions and governing bodies of the school and their functions. I truly believe that this is very important and necessary to be a professional  because, as a teacher, you should know how schools are structured and the different parts of it.   BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before studying this lesson knew who were some positions such as the director, the head of studies and the secretary and I knew somthing about governing bodies, like school council and the teacher board. But as soon as we started to read the theory I realized that I knew nothing about their functions and responsabilities. Nevertheless, now that I have studied this lesson for the exam, I know that the director not only represents the school and directs all the activities in it, but also approves the Annual General Programme. Besides, I h...

LESSON 3: Documents for Educational Management Institutions

Imagen
SUMMARY In the Lesson 3 we have studied the most important documents of the school centre. This documents are the Educational Project and the Annual General Programme. The educational Project is a document that among other things describes the organisation of the centre, and the Annual General Plan is a document inside the Educatnal Project that shows the school's planning, management and performance and also clarifies aspects included in the Educational Project. BEFORE AND AFTER STUDYING Before this Lesson I knew nothing about this documents or schools documents in general. I knew that schools had some documents that pick up all the information about the centres' plans but I could not even  imagine their magnitude and their value. After studying, I consider that I know the most important traitsof the Annual General Programme and the Educational Project. For ...
